The heartlessness of the fur
industry and the people who so carelessly use fur in "fashion" is truly
sickening. Animals on fur farms sometimes are suffocated or anally
electrocuted or have their necks broken. Some are even skinned alive.
Seriously, look at this, taken at a real fur farm:
Something else that's sick is someone
who makes a promise to stop using fur in her designs and then continues to use
and sell fur. Donna Karan, the chief designer behind the DKNY brand, is that
someone.
Please politely let Karan know
that you will
not support any of her clothing lines until she makes the compassionate decision
to go fur-free for good.
Please forward this to all your friends in behalf of the
rabbits, foxes, chinchillas, raccoon dogs, and other animals killed for their

Volunteers Celebrate Saving 500 Cats from Meat Trade.
Volunteers in China are weary but grateful as they provide care for 500 cats
rescued rescued from the
meat trade.
These cats were saved by chance when a police officer pulled the vehicle over in
the city of Xuzhou after noticing it had out-of-town license plates. Office Sun,
who had been doing routine inspections along the roadway, began investigating
when he heard crying coming from the back of a large agricultural vehicle. The
driver told him that he was carrying rabbits, but when the office inspected the
burlap bags in the back of the truck, he found hundreds of cats struggling for
air and severely dehydrated. A long standoff ensued as word went out to local
animal rescue volunteers who began negotiating for the release of the cats.
Although they had no legal standing to seize the animals, they refused to let
the vehicle continue on. Haggling for custody of the cats stretched well into
evening before the driver finally agreed to accept the equivalent of $800 for
the cats.Xuzhou Animal Rescuer Centre now has
1,000 animals in their shelter after this mass intervention. Some volunteers are
reportedly getting ill from exhaustion, working around the clock for the cats,
but they are determined to bring peace to these survivors. While some of the
cats are settling in, others are still petrified of human contact. Their
recovery will be long and the adoption process painstakingly slow.

say thank you for all the work that u’ve done to try & save animals from
cruelty from across the world. The information is so graphic & heart-wrenching
that I cudnt watch all of it. I still cant figure out what the Chinese are
made up of. They can inflict such torturous treatments on dumb animals without
the flinch of a muscle. Do they have a heart or atleast a conscience.
Well, if they don’t want to do anything about it then I think the rest
of the world must intervene. Even I am trying to file as many petitions on as
many sites as possible to get the required attention. I am going to write to
all those diplomats, ambassadors who represent our Indian democracy elsewhere
to try & put an end to this. I was wondering if I cud write to you, in case I

story. It's the shameful secret that
those in the international fur trade
do their best to hide.
Cats and dogs in China – more than 2
million individual animals this year

The animals suffering in these

what PETA Asia investigators have
documented:
"Workers
stuffed hundreds of terrified animals into cages to make the trip to
the Chinese animal markets. No food or water was provided." "The
cages were packed so full that the animals couldn't move inside. And
dying or dead animals were packed in with the living."
"When they arrived at the market, the cages were tossed 10 feet from
the tops of the trucks to ground below, shattering the bones of the
fearful animals inside."
"At the market, the killing methods used shocked even our most
seasoned investigators – bludgeoning and even skinning the animals
while they were still alive!"
All these horrors
take place so that someone can have a fur coat or fur trim on a hat.
It's outrageous and must be stopped.

The Chinese animal welfare organization 'China Animal
Protection Association' rescued More than 500 dogs from being butchered. It
writes dagbladet.no
The many dogs were on the road in a truck convoy to a slaughterhouse in
the city of Changchun in the eastern Jilin province in China.
But in the middle of a highway in the city jingha near Beijing, the
convoy stopped the 500 dogs. And after several negotiations with the
truckers were the dogs' fate is quite different from ending up as human
consumption.
Many of the dogs were sick and exhausted, when the convoy was stopped.
There has for the last few months has been similar actions in several
places in China, and actions have caused great debate in China. According to
unconfirmed rumors had animal welfare organization shall have been forced to
pay large sums to get the dogs provided.
Meanwhile, the debate about eating dog meat have flared up again in
China, where dog meat has long been commonplace eat.
I am almost certain that the reason for the Chinese
language sure sounds awful,
is that they often eat live dogs.

bear bile farming is okay: We can't let that happen.

about Hangzhou, and information about the relevancy (or lack thereof) of the
law. It also mentioned a story about 10,000 RMB in donations for a cat whose
owner burnt its ears off last week.
Guess what? China does
not have any laws to protect small animals, and therefore killing a cat is not
illegal.
Apparently
there is also a video clip
which recorded the sound as well with a number of other participants,
including the photographer and many females in their 20’s and 30’s
enacting the roles of sadistic killers. This video refers to a website:

whichregistered to "gainmas" with mailbox info@winfox.com, an address on
Academy Road in Hangzhou and telephone number 0571-8886XXX. A Google search
on the telephone phone found three listings, one being at Silver Fox
Technology at the same Hangzhou address.
According to a search on ebay.com.cn, the individual by the name of
"gainmas" purchased a pair of 12cm-high-heeled shoe s on January 3, 2005.
"Gainmas" has a Zhejiang car registration for a silver-grey Mazda automobile
license number Zhejiang A/2F7XX and there is even a link to a photo of the
automobile
A netizen has found the QQ number (3167793XX) for the 37-year-old female
from Hubei. The QQ self-description is "I angrily trample to death

China has done it again.
A country notorious for its animal cruelty now presents lions and
tigers on horseback.
At a zoo in South East China, a horse is forced to carry a lion around an
enclosure. The horse is kept in motion by a trainer with a whip; this horse has
no choice but to perform. In order for the horse to perform these brutal acts it
had to be subjected to torturous training, stripping it of all its natural
instincts. Furthermore, the horse endures continual pain as the lion claws the
horse's body to maintain its balance.
As the first stunt does not completely satisfy the crowds' lust for cruelty, a
tiger now climbs onto the same horse's back to be carried around the enclosure,
all this at the trainers command. The applauding spectators take pleasure in
these terrifying and humiliating stunts and show no regard for these animals'
welfare.
Not only is this horse subjected to this terrifying and unnatural performance,
but the conditions in which it and other animals live are poor and inhumane,
living in small cages in solitary confinement.
We fear that when this horse is no longer able to perform, she will be retired
to a hungry pride of lions in yet another dreadful form of "entertainment"
called live feeding. A cruel end to a beautiful and submissive animal.
Please do not allow this horse or any others to become another of China's

STOP LIVE DOG BURNING TESTS IN CHINA
The horrific series of experiments in
which dogs are being burned alive took place
at the Third Military Medical University at
Chongqing, China. The experiments appeared
in the Chinese scientific journal: ŒZhonghua
Shao Shang Za Zhi. NAVS and ADI have
uncovered three experiments published since
1999 and believe the programme of research
continues. The 3 experiments involved:-
37 dogs burned with napalm - The pain
of napalm is so excruciating that people
have died from the pain alone. The pain
felt by the dogs would have been
unbearable. The dogs were then kept
alive with their agonizing burns for
three days. 72hours of hell.
26 dogs were burned so severely that
their brains swelled - In order to
determine the value of scanning
equipment in diagnosing brain swelling
due to excess water (oedema) following
burns, dogs were inflicted with third
degree skin burns, over half of their
bodies. Yet, scanning techniques such as
MRI cause little or no suffering to
people so it is difficult to understand
why the information could not have been
derived from studies of burns patients.
24 dogs were deliberately scalded and
suffered steam inhalation injuries – 24
mongrel dogs were used in an experiment in
which 40% of their total body surface area
was deliberately scalded, giving them third
degree burns, and they were left alive for
up to two days. Some of the dogs died from
shock within 36 hours.
